About the Artist
Whether it is the contrast of the green trees and golden hills of Sonoma County, the colorful Victorian houses of San Francisco, or the quilted farming Valley's of Utah. Paul Ferney's oil paintings reflect the beauty in the shape and pattern of everyday moments.

"I love that feeling when you see something new and beautiful for the first time. Hopefully everyone has one of these experiences everyday, even if it's just in the way a tree looks as we step out of the house in the morning. Painting is a way for me to share these moments of beauty."

Raised in a small farming town in northern Utah, Paul grew up surrounded by nature. Paul graduated from Utah State University with a bachelor of Fine Art in 2000. He has participated in multiple prestigious juried shows including The Spring Salon, Springville Museum of Art 2003 and 2004, LDS Church Museum 7th International Art Competition April 2006, and most recently the Sonoma Plein Air Festival September 2006.

Paul Ferney now lives in San Francisco, California , where he balances his time between fine art and commercial art. Paul paints on location, in the Bay Area or in his San Francisco studio.
